Who it is for
A researcher emails ideas to funders and waits for a reply with no date. Funders get requests in many formats, and it is hard to see who works in which field. Collaboration gets lost in scattered chats. In Research Platform the researcher applies through one form, the funder receives it in its view, and their conversation stays on record.
How a working day runs
The researcher signs up with their name and ID number. They start from the home screen, searching publications or browsing them by field, such as natural sciences, health or computer science. From the plus button they publish new work, choosing a field and sub-field, and can publish under their research team's name. Their teams sit under My Teams. When they need funding, the same button opens a request with the title, abstract, the problem the research solves and the expected results. The request reaches the funder's view with other research requests, and the funder reviews it and messages the researcher inside the platform. Researchers also message each other to start collaborations, and every conversation stays saved in their accounts.
What makes the difference
- Researchers and funders each get their own view: researchers see their work and teams, funders see incoming requests.
- Every funding request follows the same fixed sections, so funders compare requests on one basis.
- Requests and messages stay inside the platform, so every collaboration keeps a record both sides can revisit.
- Researchers publish under their name or their team's, so shared work credits every author and appears under its field.
How it is built
We built the researcher and funder views in one Flutter app, so every improvement reaches both sides together. Firestore stores publications, requests and messages, so both sides find the same record whenever they open the app. Firebase delivers each new message to its recipient as soon as it is sent. A REST API lets research institutions' systems exchange the same records with the platform.

Questions buyers ask
Do researchers and funders see the same screens?
No. Researchers have a view for their work, teams and requests; funders have a view where they receive and review research requests. The two sides meet in messaging, so their conversation stays in one place inside the platform.
What goes into a funding request?
The title, the project abstract and the problem the research solves, then the expected results, added goal by goal. The funder receives the complete request, reviews it, and messages the researcher if it needs clarification.
Can researchers work in teams?
Yes. A researcher finds their research teams under My Teams and publishes under a team's name when the work is shared. Team members message each other inside the platform, so the collaboration stays documented.
